Linden flowers are very important honey plants for beekeepers, producing a very pale but richly flavoured monofloral honey.
The flowers are also used for herbal tea, and this infusion is particularly popular in Europe.
Ingredients: Linden Flowers
1-2 teaspoons per cup of hot water. Steep for 5-15 minutes depending on taste.
Traditionally, Linden flowers have been used to treat flu, cough, migraine, nervous tension, ingestion, various types of spasms, liver and gall bladder disorders, diarrhea, and elevated arterial pressure associated with arteriosclerosis. Infusions of the flowers make a pleasant-tasting tea.
