About wild pears : wild pears are colorless, have a low glycemic index (does not raise blood sugar quickly). Contains lutein and zeaxanthin (50.00 mcg), two compounds essential for maintaining sharp vision. Pears contain flavonoids – special plant substances that have a positive effect on the body by stimulating the activity of enzymes. They also contain copper 0.37 mg (41%*), zinc 0.39 mg (4%*), iron 2.1 mg (12%*). Copper helps maintain normal iron transport in the body, normal functioning of the immune and nervous systems. Quite often, wild pears are described as a hypoallergenic (less allergenic) food product.
